

This laser vibrometer system is used to measure surface vibrations and surface acoustic wave amplitudes. Using a heterodyne laser interferometer approach, it allows absolute measurement of vibration amplitude. With two-axis sample scanning, a two-dimensional image of surface vibrations may be constructed.
Capabilities:
- Two dimensional scan with scanning area of 2.5 cm × 2.5 cm with a minimum step size of 18 nm
- 5 micron spot size
- Diode-pumped laser source ( 532 nm wavelength)
- High bandwidth detector for measuring acoustic waves up to 7 GHz
- Automated data acquisition and 2D image plotting of magnitude and phase
